We can be 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 or 70, one thing is for sure: we are learning until the last moment of our lives. Today I have learned why corruption exists. Yes, you guessed it already, it’s because it pays off!
Take the case of the Mozambican driver’s license bid. It’s difficult to explain how an enterprise not even represented in Mozambique succeeded, when the amount presented doubled the other bidder’s price.
The loser appealed, as evident, and is appealing in every possible ways. One of them was to the international institution paying for such scandalous robbery. As it seems now, the team working on the case with local authorities is about to reach this conclusion: “the bid decision is a question of sovereignty”.
I don’t have a lot to add to such upsetting subject. Next time I hear the “corruption song coming from developed countries” I shall roar with laughter. Why don’t you just shut up, if you are the firsts to be involved in the corruption or, at least, you are a permissive accomplice to all the corruption schemes going on?
