The best way to enjoy the local New Year’s fireworks is at the Polana Hotel. January 2014 we had dinner at the hotel and were charmed into trying the Polana Réveillon. Even though Paul is no longer here, I followed the plan.
Somehow, the last day of 2014 and first day of 2015 was even sadder than Christmas. I suppose the turn of the year represents moving forwards. While in 2014, it was Paul’s year. From now on it’s the incognita. A Portuguese song says: this is the first day of what remains of my life. I suppose I said it before. It’s still a valid feeling.
